I whipped up a recipe last night, and Saturday is looking good to get my first brewing session of 2008 under way. I’m behind, as my buddy Bob (who is holding all my equipment for ransom) has already got 2 batches aging.
So I’ll be doing a simple English brown ale, which is my favorite style both to brew and to drink. Convenient, eh? I like brewing it ’cause it takes very little time, maybe 5-6 weeks tops and you’re drinking it. Also, I’ve brewed it so many times that I’ve gotten quite good at it.
Maybe I’ll post the recipe later. I need to stop by the homebrew supply and pick up the ingredients. I’m told that hops are hard to come by these days, so I may need to be ready to make some substitutions.
