Last weekend John, the Organizer for the Chicago Beer Meetup group on meetup.com, stepped down as organizer. I wasn’t sure if I was the man for the job, but I am definitely the man for the beer, so I stepped up. I am the new Organizer and I’ve scheduled my first event.
Those of you who know me well know that beer is something I have strong opinions about, something I know quite a bit about, and yet something I’m always willing to explore. So I’m looking forward to tackling this. My wife Mindy has been a member of meetup.com for a number of years now and has served as Organizer or Assistant Organizer for a number of different groups and has offered to help with advice, etc. I’m hoping it won’t be a total disaster.
So if any of you out there are Chicago-area people and interested in beer, think about joining up! Otherwise, wish me luck.
