For some reason the 3 failed blog entries from this morning just showed up. WTF???
I’ve deleted the duplicates now. But here is my original “Fucking DotNetNuke” rant from earlier, in the interest of full disclosure.
I just tried to upgrade the CMS to the latest version and it completely horked the blog. I mean, it says on their site that the blog is the most popular add-in to the CMS, so why in the hell would their upgrade process break it?
I was hoping to upgrade both the CMS and the modules, like this blog. I was also hoping that an upgrade would cure some of the clunky things about this piece of crap, like the inability to edit a blog entry without resetting the posting time, but I guess I don’t get the fancy new features.
I don’t know, maybe I’ll switch to Umbraco. But it sucks after I’ve had this up a couple of months to have to switch.
Also in the interest of full disclosure, I took a look at Umbraco since then and though it was very pretty, it is not what I want. Anybody know of a .NET CMS system that works?
