The COOLEST kid alive!!!

I gotta tell ya, this kid is amazing! I guess everybody says that about their kids, and it's probably true about every kid. But this kid is MINE and that makes him super-special.

Here's a little summary. Damian John Behymer was born on November 15, 1997, at about 9:20-something AM. He was then and is now a big sucker. He has a permanent bruise on his forehead from running around the house trying to get into everything and falling down a lot. He can climb just about anything. He wrestles our 80 lb Akita puppy (named Gypsy) into submission daily. "Silly Puppy Dog" is now what he calls dogs. He loves to sing the ABCs and just about any other song he hears. Recently we rented a movie with a Rage Against the Machine song on the soundtrack and he was jamming to it. My favorite thing he does now is instead of clapping and saying "Yay!" when he does something cool, he'll turn to me a la Fonzie, point a finger and say "Heeeeyy!"

Damian's likes and dislikes:

Favorite Toys:

  • Tools I've been doing a lot of remodeling lately, and if I leave out any tools then Damian is all over them. I've found him banging on new sheetrock with a big old hammer.
  • The kitty We recently adopted a kitty and Damian just can't stay away from her. Lucy (the cat) was not happy with this at first, but Damian has gotten better about being gentle with her (he's used to being able to beat on Gypsy, who has a very high pain threshold). He says "nice kitty" and gives her a big hug. However, he is still rough on the dog.
  • Anything electronic I wish I could get him to stop playing with the stereo, VCR, TV, computer, etc.

Favorite TV station(s):

PBS

The Public Broadcasting System has a very nifty website with all kinds of information from and about their programs. Damian loves Teletubbies and Elmo from Sesame Street, which means that I probably have to take him to the new Elmo movie, but it'll probably be fun.
