Mercury Rising

This movie was pretty good. I watched it a few months ago, and I guess it wasn't
memorable to leave enough of an impression for me to write a good review. I liked it well enough.
One thing I remember is that a love interest for Bruce in this movie was played by the woman, I
don't know her name, who played Bill Pullman's love interest in the very good movie (co-starring Ben
Stiller) Zero Effect. Those of you who haven't seen this movie, check it out. Very quirky
detective flick. Zero Effect, that is, not Mercury Rising.
In Mercury, Bruce plays an FBI agent who ends up having to protect an autistic
child who inadvertently breaks a top-secret government cipher. Alec Baldwin plays the government
heavy sending assassins after the kid. As I mentioned, the movie didn't make enough of an impression
for a point-by-point review of the plot. Maybe I was tired, or maybe the movie was just too routine.
But it certainly wasn't painful to watch. It's worth checking out, and enjoyable while you're watching
it, but don't expect to take too much away from it. I'm fairly sure that's Alec's fault, not Bruce's.
