Striking Distance

I recently rented this movie, having never seen it. My local video store has one copy
of the tape, and for some reason it is almost always out, so when I saw it in one Friday afternoon
I snatched it up. It wasn't the greatest movie. It was good, but not up to Bruce's usual level.
Bruce plays a cop who leaves the force after his partner--who Bruce testified against
in a trial--"committed suicide" by jumping off a bridge. Bruce becomes a "river rat,"
a police officer patrolling the river in Boston. Bruce's new partner--the very hot Sarah
Jessica Parker--is secretly an internal affairs officer. Blah blah blah. They end up catching a
serial killer who turns out (Surprise!!!) to be Bruce's old partner.
Fill in the blanks yourself. This is pretty much a routine cop "thriller"
without many surprises. The dedicated Bruce-phile will of course want to see it, but don't go
out of your way.
Of course, Bruce was great. Don't get me wrong.
